The mother-of-four, who gave birth to triplets Iben, Filip and Agnes in September, has amassed thousands of fans after showing off her belly following giving birth.
Maria Nordø Jørstad went viral after sharing a picture of her stomach four weeks postpartum on Instagram, calling it her 'weird looking hanging belly'.
The photograph of Maria's deflated baby bump caused people around the world to praise the young mum for capturing the unseen side of motherhood.
'I am a bit surprised it has not gotten smaller since my last picture three weeks ago. Kind of disappointing I must admit, and I am not too happy to share this picture,' Maria wrote.
'My uterus has not [sic] shrinked back yet. Because my belly was so stretched it takes longer than usual.'
Her incredible honesty earned hundreds of comments from women, who applauded her raw account of a post-pregnancy body.
'This beautiful, strong body has been the home of 3 perfect little humans. It kept them safe and helped them grow so they could survive and thrive. Honour it, love it, be gentle to it. It has worked very, very hard,' one person wrote.
'I'm so glad you posted this picture because it is horrible [that we] live in a fake world... Not every woman [has a] beautiful body after pregnancy,' another said.
