Speaking to Nine News, Penina revealed that her meal prep tips can save a standard family of four over $200 a month.
Major highlights from her tips and trick include setting one day aside of the week to meal prep by chopping up food items and placing them in colour-coded bags. Meals are then later frozen and stored away.
She said: 'This is a really simple way to put money back into people's pockets - basically we are eating our way to more cash,'
Another of her tips is keeping dinners to a five or less ingredient rule, which in turn helps save both money and time.
Penina added: 'I was getting really frustrated with meals that were very complex'.
