Believed to have been stolen Jake jumped online sharing pictures of Harley a mastiff cross shar-pei.
‘Someone has broken into my property and snapped my lock and chain and stole my puppy’ he wrote.
‘Please help return my baby to me,’ the post read.
Shared over 20 times Animal Lost and Found Kalgoorlie-Boulder Facebook page also spread the post in hopes to reunite Jake and Harley.
Whilst Jake continued to search for his <fur baby> 19-months later Harley was found roaming the streets 280km away from home.
Scavenging food in a rural town of Leonora, WA it would have taken more than three hours to drive the distance between where Harley was last spotted and where he was found.
A volunteer picked up the <stray> after receiving reports of the dog and brought him to Kalgoorlie.
'He wasn’t in great shape when we found him,' Abby Kumar Buccilli from Kalgoorlie Dog Adoptions told Yahoo News Australia.
With an injured foot, Harley needed medical attention.
Amazingly microchipped Jake was contacted straight away.
Reportedly over the moon to have his best mate back the two plan on starting a new life in Queensland.
