The President of the United States Donald Trump has hit out at Meghan Markle, calling the Duchess 'nasty' over her previous criticism of him.
Trump was made aware of comments the Duchess of Sussex made in 2016 during an interview, referring to the 45th president as 'misogynistic' and 'divisive'.

Meghan also reportedly joked she would 'move to Canada' if Trump was elected.
'I didn't know she was nasty,' the president said in response, according to The Sun.
Trump was interviewed about the royal family as he prepares to visit Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom.
Controversially, Meghan, her husband Prince Harry and the couple's child Archie will not be present for the meeting between Trump and the Queen.

Despite his choice words, Trump also praised the Duchess and predicted she would make an excellent princess.
'I think it's nice. I'm sure she will do excellently. She'll be very good,' he said.
Trump and several members of his family will be treated to a banquet at Buckingham Palace during his visit to the UK.
A formal tea will also be hosted for the president and the first lady Melania, hosted by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
