Appearing on Seven's new show Bride & Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings, mother-in-law Fatima didn't hold back on why she thinks Jess, 20, isn't good enough for her son, Seyat, 19.
'Jess is very dirty, disgusting, she smells like cats,' Fatima said. 'I believe she is a slutty party girl. I don't want my son to date a girl like that.'
Melbourne couple Jess and Seyat, who've been together for a year, really want to get married but Fatima's insults are having a big effect on their relationship.
'The meanest thing is probably calling me a slut,' says Jess. 'That makes me feel horrible and worthless. I started thinking "am I not good enough for him".'
Fatima also claimed that Jess dresses like a 'prostitute' and doesn't fit in with the family's Macedonian culture.
When Seyat and Jess break the news to Fatima that they're planning to get married, his mum can't contain her disgust.
Unable to even look Jess in the eye she said: 'I'm gonna come and cancel your wedding. I'll do something to destroy it.'
